🏆 QUARTERFINALS, GAME I | Reidsville Luckies @ Clayton Clovers 🏆
Game one did not go according to plan
The Reidsville Luckies traveled to East Clayton Community Park to take on their cloverleafed rivals.
And unfortunately, the Clovers hammered four home runs, ultimately winning, 13-4.
Now, the Luckies must win two elimination games to stay alive. They have a 2-0 record in elimination games this season, and they will have to extend that to 4-0 if they want to play some more baseball.
The Luckies are scheduled to play a doubleheader in Clayton on Saturday, with game two taking place at 1 PM and an if necessary game three taking place at 4 PM.
Around the League
Every other Friday quarterfinal matchup was postponed due to rain.
Lexington and Hendersonville will play game one of the Western Division Championship on Saturday. Games two and a potential game three will be held in Lexington on Sunday afternoon.
In the Northeastern Division, they will have the same format as the Western, with game one taking place in Tarboro on Saturday and a doubleheader in New Bern on Sunday.
The Sandhills Bogeys look to wrap their series with the Brunswick Surfin’ Turfs up today in the Bogey Ballpark. If Brunswick keeps their season alive with a victory, the two teams will compete in a do-or-die game three at 6 PM on the 28th.
