Special Message, Update, and Extra Bases
Please read for some important information, an update on upcoming editions, and Extra Bases
I would like for my readers to know that I am not asking them to pledge paid subscriptions to Substack. Substack is doing it themselves since they get a cut.
Pledges are not donations; they simply state that if I paywalled content, they would automatically subscribe. It tells the writer that you enjoy their posts and would be willing to pay money for them.
I am never going to paywall Luckies Ledger. I want this to be available to everybody for free, and I want to use this as a tool to draw people to Jaycee Park and provide updates for parents of players that are from far away.
Thank you!
For those of you waiting for the next two editions, the ONSL Postseason Preview and the Bracket Battle of the Broadcasters, in which the commentary team makes predictions and you fans can vote on who you think will win the pennant, it is already finished. However, I can’t send it out until the ONSL makes the tournament bracket official on social media, as I wouldn’t want to feed you readers wrong information.
Hopefully, they get everything right on the bracket. There have been mistakes on the website before, so I’m trying to be cautious. As soon as they announce the playoffs, I’ll publish those editions.
Extra Bases: Travy Paddy, three-time Moment of the Game winner, has won his first ONSL Player of the Week award! Travis Hammond won it at the perfect time, with eight singles, two doubles, and triple over the course of the week to finish off the year right. Hammond led the team in games played this season, rarely, if ever, taking a day off.
Hammond will be the reigning, defending, undisputed, Player of the Week for about ten months.
