Luckies game in Clayton cancelled due to field conditions
With no score after two innings of play, the game was called
The Luckies sought their first-ever win against the Clayton Clovers, but an exorbitant amount of rain in inning number two set off a rain delay.
The rain delay never finished, as the field was too wet to play on. Presumably, the game will be made up on a to be determined date.

On-Deck
Tomorrow is the last day off before the next six games in six days stretch. Tuesday, the Luckies face the High Point Hushpuppies at home, before hosting the Carolina Yankees in a non-league matchup on Wednesday. Thursday, the Luckies will beat the Hushpuppies again, this time at Ed Price Field.
Friday is the big game. It is basically a two-horse race between the Luckies and the Fungo for the final playoff spot, unless the Gliders and Hushpuppies really turn things around (they will not.) Reidsville will try to even up the season series with Wake Forest at Jaycee Park. Then, Saturday and Sunday will be home games against non-league games, first against the Yankees and then against the Tar Heel Kings.
