Unfortunately, rain poured down in the Lucky City and across North Carolina this afternoon, putting our plans of a home game on hold.
The news right now is that the rest of the series will be held in Clayton, unfortunately. Once the league releases more information regarding the remainder of the series, I will update subscribers. The plan is for game one to take place at East Clayton Community Park tomorrow night at seven, but rain may come into play, as it has so often this season.
Around the League
In the Western Division, the Lexington Flying Pigs will have a home game in the first game of the series against Hendersonville.
In the Northeastern Division, New Bern and Tarboro’s game one was rained out. They will make it up in New Bern tomorrow evening.
The Sandhills Bogeys and the Brunswick Surfin’ Turfs played the first game of the Old North State League Quarterfinals. The Bogeys won on a rainy day, 11-6, and they will look to close out the series in Brunswick County tomorrow.
