π Divisional Game -- Sandhills Bogeys @ Reidsville Luckies π
Reidsville whacked by reigning champs
The Reidsville Luckies were never able to mount a rally, losing, 12-2, to the Sandhills Bogeys.
The second inning, which featured four Bogeys runs, allowed the Pinehurst-based team to pull away. The Bogeys would double the hits of Reidsville, which is simply insurmountable in almost all cases. Only Gavin Groppuso and Ryne Rodrigues were able to get a hit more than once.
Extra Bases: Kristian Amaro has found a home! He recently committed to NC A&T, a division one college in Greensboro, North Carolina. He has been searching for a school to finish out his two years of eligibility at, and finally found it. Congrats to Kristian, and best of luck.
Also, next weekend, the ONSL All-Star game takes place, and, if youβve watched these Luckies throughout the year, you know that there are going to be some Reidsville players on the team. The next edition of Extra Bases will give you all of the information.
Notes β This one hurt. Now that itβs July, every game truly does count, and when youβre five games out of a playoff spot, it becomes time to put the pedal to the metal.
On-Deck β The Luckies donβt compete again until Thursday, when they host the Carolina Ducks. Friday, theyβll visit the Lexington Flying Pigs, and next Sunday, theyβll do battle with the Sanford Spinners at Jaycee Park.
