Ean Laird and the Lexington Flying Pigs stopped the Reidsville Luckies in the Barbecue Capital of the World.

Lexington put on a show and picked up the win in front of firefighters and police on their First Responder’s Night.

Extra Bases: My fellow commentator, the voice of the Reidsville Luckies, our very own Joe Dexter, will be the sound of the 2023 Old North State League Home Run Derby and All-Star Game!

There is nobody more deserving than Dexter, who has experience calling TJ Highsmith and Jacob Trivette’s home runs, and will, hopefully, call many more of their homers tomorrow night in the Home Run Derby.

Notes: The Luckies must get back on track, or they’ll hit last place in the Central Division. Maybe the All-Star Game will provide some life and rejuvenation for the green, tan, and red.

Upcoming: The All-Star Game and Home Run Derby is tomorrow, followed by a game with the Clayton Clovers on Sunday that starts the final march to the finish line.
