🍀 Away Game -- Reidsville Luckies @ High Point Hushpuppies 🍀
Heartpounding game ends in a one-run win for Reidsville
The Reidsville Luckies went from up 6-0 to nearly losing, but held on, 7-6, to defeat the High Point Hushpuppies.
The Luckies zoomed into six unanswered runs in the first three innings, with Colin Eaton on the mound, but, near the end of the game, the Hushpuppies began to steadily come back.
The Luckies, however, refused to take a loss, and would just barely take home the victory, 7-6, to send the Ed Price Field fans home unhappy.
Extra Bases: While rain cancelled out many of last week’s games around the league, our very own Colin Eaton secured the Old North State League Pitcher of the Week Award. Congrats to Colin, and keep up the good work.
This is the third time the Luckies have received an “Of the Week” award from the ONSL in just over a month. Considering the fact that there are fifteen teams, you can tell that Reidsville has some real talent.
Notes: The Luckies are now just behind the Hushpuppies in that third place in the Central Division. They’re still four games out of a playoff spot, but there’s a lot of baseball left to be played in July.
Upcoming: The Luckies are scheduled to do battle with the Hushpuppies and the Sandhills Bogeys at home this weekend.
